Publish Library content

.. note::

   Users must have **Library Author**, **Library Contributor**, or **Library Admin** permissions on a library to edit content.
   See :ref:`Add users to Libraries` for more details.

Libraries now support the ability to edit in draft mode, enabling more flexible
content creation workflows.

There are three publishing statuses:

* **Draft mode**: Content has never been published
* **Published**: Content is published and available for reuse
* **Published, with pending edits**: Content has been revised since it was last published

Only published content is available for reuse in courses. 

Publish individual pieces of content
************************************

#. Click on the tile. This will open the sidebar menu for the content.

#. Click on the :guilabel:`Publish Component` button.

#. Access the publishing history by click on the Manage tab.

Publish all the content in a Library
************************************

#. Click on the :guilabel:`Library Info` button. The Library sidebar will open.

#. Click :guilabel:`Publish`.
